Thursday’s (3-21-2013) Power Page and KHSS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

Exit play will return NEXT week for a couple of days…

I had omitted Code West from my top Ten Kentucky Derby contenders list as #5.  This was an accidental over-site and needed to be corrected.  Now many will ask, why is Normandy Invasion listed ahead of Code West and it’s simply because of the fabulous 2 year old form for Normandy Invasion.   Many will say, wait a minute, isn’t the Power Page about “most recent form” – well of course that is true.   The PPN’s on the Power Page are biased toward the more recent form – I repeat.   That being said, the ratings you see above are not Power Page ratings (PPN), these are loose handicapping ideas that do recognize the past performances from last year  as well as current form.   Now as I said on Race Day today, my review of Normandy Invasion suggest he will have only two THREE YEAR OLD  races for the KD, with the next race occurring in the Wood Memorial so his running line will look like a giant race to complete his 2 year old year, followed by an “EASY EFFORT’ in he return in February and then the Wood.   IF he runs another race in the Wood that isn’t better than his race in the Remesen,  I will demote him, but if his race is about the same or better than the Remsen, I will like him a lot…  So that’s the deal on Normandy Invasion…
