Thursday’s (4-12-2012) Power page and KHSS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

On Wednesday, my 2 plays reported home 1st and 3rd.   I did get the exacta to go with my winner in the 4th at Aqueduct, whose M/L was 7/2 but paid only $5.50.   This is why its so very hard to win as a public handicapper.  That being said, my record to date for 2012 is winnings of $302.30 against a cost of $292.00.  Looks like a winning ROI of $1.04 per $1.00 wagered.  The sample is not small, but the handicapping is very large, and if you are not impressed, you should be…

Star horses on Wednesday were giant, with Mah Jong Maddnes paying a terrific$18.40 to win.  However, that only translates to a return of $13.35 against a cost of $6.00, because we figure that price at $1.00 to win and $1.00 to place, instead of $2.00 to win.  The reason I mention this, is you should start playing those 7/1 and higher with a little more in the place position than the win position…  More to follow on that…

However, the BEST PLAY for STAR horses was Litttle Miss Lil in the 6th at Aqueduct, off at odds that exceeded 60/11, this filly tried here very best to get us the money.  After taking an early lead, she let the other 60/1 take the lead, then she reengaged on the outside battling every step and taking the lead as they straightened away, but she was so hard used, she faded to 4th in the very late stages…  It was a tremendous bet and a great try… However, this cat is out of the bag now…
