Churchill Downs:
With all the management involved at Churchill Downs, they managed to get Fear The Kitten on the AE and get ORB to nearly loose it while schooling. I need not say anything about the Fear The Kitten thing, it just one of those things that they couldn’t get right, but it’s not their fault. As for ORB, there is no excuse for a Race Track that is housing 40 of the very best horses, all worth millions, to allow a worker to be running a motor in and among the population of high-strung race horses without proper supervision and control. Here is the real problem, after ORB got spooked, he was kicking in the stall really hard, hopefully there is no injury, but if there is one, it might not show readily… It’s actually something of concern, no matter what anyone says, because no one will know for certain, even Shug! That is correct, the smallest of injuries to ORB’s hooves or ankles could not or might not be visible until the races is actually run… Micro tears do not always cause inflammation right away, sometimes they need additional stress later on, to start rearing their ugly signs — later on might be turning for home…
There is no promotion they are running that is worth getting horse, rider or trainer injured!
I had an interesting question about the online seminars I am doing, they are not something you need to attend at a particular time. Everything is posted as it’s done and stays up — so you can view everything in your own time…
