Wednesday’s (4-1-2015) Power Page and KHSS for Aqueduct are ready for download…

We move to the MAIN Track at Aqueduct – what doe s that mean?  Firstly, the A Main track has always been noted for great footing. The big difference is the CHUTE, which handles races from 6.5 furlong out to 1 Mile.  The chute is a little tougher on inside post- positions.  Front runners and clost to pace pressers do pretty well at the extended distances.  But the advantage is on the “slight” side.  At distances of 1 1/8 mile, which is your basic two-turn route, the outside post-positions are challenged….  Keep these in mind as you handicap.

AS for the two important 3 year old races of the – more handicapping problems to consider.  First the faster of the two appears to be International Star who ran an approximate number on my Fig Sheets of 78.5, but was absolutely lathered by the jock.  Materiatlity ran nearly as fast in a 77.8 which looks very topish for a horse who has now only run 3 races…  I will be discussing with  Ralph’s Siraco on race Day Las Vegas Wednesday morning… AS for UPSTART, he’s just a discard for me, as I said this weekend, he appears to be best at about 1 mile and they should stop trying to get him to go further, in this season it will be for naught!
