Sunday’s Race Day Plays:

Aqueduct  Race #7 : Elmutahid — ran terrible, I expect more when I pick a K. Mclaughlin runner…

Los Alamitos  Race #5 :  Player’s Charm  – off at nearly 7/11 placed in a persevering effort, not a match for the heavily bet down Jonny’s Choice.

 

Starting the “Inner Dirt Track Season”:

Some ideas come to mind when I think of the Inner Dirt track.

  1. It’s a Horse for Course type track,
  2. It’s fabulous when the weather is very cold.
  3. Inside posts at 6 furlongs is a little challenging, except when there is a STRONG Inside speed day.
  4. Outside Post going 1 Mile is really difficult.
  5. The track can get a little goofy when there is a thaw that comes after a deep freeze…
  6. One of the best tracks to play!

Race Day Plays for Sunday:

Aqueduct : Race #10 — Street Fightin Man — off at 4/1, caught a decent trip on the outside, many good runs on that line today, so a no excuse 4th or 5th…  The winner was handled by new bug boy Winston Ray Kay.  WR put the winner on the front and never looked back… Heads up on this bug boy right now.

Los Alamitos : Race #7 — Cause U R My Babe – excellent effort but only good enough to get the place .  She tried all the way at 7/2 in this small field.

 

The racing looks really good at Aqueduct for tomorrow and the field at Los Alamitos still a touch on the skinny side.   As I am writing this blog, I am watching Zorro’s Storm -pull his sword- and win the finale at 16/1.  A single person hit the Pick 6 for 77 Grand.  While these cards are sometimes a little thin, there still is a way to make some $$$.
