Sunday’s  Race Day Plays:

At Aqueduct — Race #7 —  Sun Worshipper  — just a dud…

At Del Mar  — Race #5 — China Girl Lover — placed at 7/1.  This was a good one, and with a little better racing luck or a ground saving trip in the first turn, this one could well have won …  The Exacta was a good on with our PRESS horse Ike Walker who got a little fortunate to be loose on the lead…Just saying!

Wednesday’s Race Day Plays:

AT Aqueduct — Race #5 – Fair Prophet – just a real UNDER-performer.  I expect better from Shug, the price was Even Money and it sucked the easy out of the Pick 6.  Short money horses are always a mistake… I will repeat that mantra 100 times, maybe I can avert the urge for an easy winner.  They all need a little something to make them a play, this was a real dog.

At Aqueduct — Race #8 — S’Marvelous ran a decent 3rd, the winner was a bit of surprise.

Expect Sloppy conditions for Thursday – again –  at the Big A and we are anticipating  all turf races to be moved to the main track.

Saturday’s Race Day Plays :

AT Aqueduct… Red Vine at 7/2 was poorly managed by J. Rosario – to my eye – he was an easy winner…but Rosario managed only to get the place.

At Del Mar… Toledo Eddie, ran 4th after getting caught in tight behind slow cover.  It’s not clear that he was good enough with a better trip..

It’s important to state, not all bad trips are the fault of the jockey.  In the case of Toledo Eddie, it was just unlucky circumstances that the horses in front of him backed up and he was locked into the pocket – generally a good spot.  In the case of Red Vine, this was an extremely live horse with tons of run, and Rosario had plenty of opportunity to guide him OUT OF THE POCKET and into the clear.  The fractions were so slow, that he was essentially unused at any part of the first portion of the race, but he did find a way to get in trouble…

The KHSS will NO LONGER be offered! 

I am removing the KHSS — as I am preparing a more comprehensive product.  The new product will be available on or about the opening of the Santa Anita meet at the end of December…
