Sunday’s (11-04-2012) Power Page for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

HI everyone, the BC is over for 2012.  And this certainly wasn’t a great one for my STAR horses.  There were a few decent plays at big odds, one of which turned out to be Trinniberg, especially considering the speed bias that dominated the main track at Santa Anita.  The only exception or should I say horses to overcome the Speed Bias were Rail Trips close on the inside in the Mile on the Dirt and Groupie’s phenomenal run.  No doubt about Groupie’s superiority!

I will do a post mortem, later in the week.  Just some notes, I thought the two great trainers, Bob Baffert and Todd Pletcher had worse day(s) than me,  others to suffer out there as well…  This was particularly difficult day when watching a pretty square priced Mucho Macho Man getting beat on the square by Fort Larned, was as much as this handicapper could take.  One final comment, that’s why it’s important to make each bet pretty equal and keep a a smallish part of your overall bankroll.  We have been killing it for two months, so we don’t want to go on “Broke Street” in just two days…

I will be back with much more over the next several days…  So please come back…
